Shauna J's latest adventure, Riding Gain, is is here!
Hello and Welcome!
Looking for something new, different and intriguing to read? You say you've already read one or both of my books, and you want to find out more about Shauna J. Bogart and her creator?
Either way, you've come to the right place.
I write a series (well, two so far) of mystery novels featuring a liberal female talk radio host at the last independent, family-owned station in Sacramento, Calif. Wondering whether you'll enjoy my Talk Radio Mysteries well enough to actually spend money to purchase one or both? Take this quick 'n' easy quiz.
-
I like books with lots of page-turning action, where something actually happens, not just pages of pretty prose.
I get a kick out of feisty and funny main characters with a sense of 'tude, like Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum.
I prefer my murder and mayhem on the Lite side, without a lot of graphic violence or sex, and with a minimum of Naughty Words.
I enjoy books that give me an inside look at unusual and interesting professions, like the radio business.
I work in radio, or used to work in radio, or I know someone who works in radio.
I live in Sacramento, or used to live in Sacramento, or spent a lot of time in the capital city. I like books that are bursting with local color.
I'm always a sucker for stories in which the "little guy" manages to triumph over great odds.
If you answered "yes" to at least one of the above-congratulations! You are an excellent candidate to join the growing list of members of the Shauna J. Bogart fan club. Check out more about my novels on the Books page, including links to the first chapters of both. Then (please!) Buy My Book.
You say you're already a believer? Welcome aboard! You'll find more information about the sad state of the U.S. radio industry at Who Killed Radio? Enough About Me will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about, well, me. There's also a page just for my Schedule, Signings and Such, plus a place to have Fun With Joyce, media coverage of Murder Off Mike and its author in The Newsroom and a page For Writers Only.
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the Web!
